Art Walk to Expand Events and Activities in 2013 to Attract More Attendees
Downtown Vision, Inc. Launches Survey to Gather Attendee Feedback

Jacksonville, FL (December 14, 2012) – The First Wednesday Art Walk is Downtown Jacksonville’s longest running and most successful recurring event attracting more than 6,000 visitors each month. In an effort to enhance Art Walk and bring in more repeat and new attendees, Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI) has launched an online survey to obtain feedback on the monthly event’s best and most desired features. DVI has also formed an Art Walk committee of a dozen local downtown supporters and activists who will meet over the next few months to review the survey results and make recommendations for expanding Art Walk and bringing in new vendors and activities.

“We began Art Walk nine years ago, and it continues to capture the creative spirit of the community and bring thousands of people Downtown each month” said DVI Executive Director Terry Lorince. “But to keep it fresh, we feel it’s time it inject a bit more energy and enthusiasm into the event to offer our regular attendees something new, while bringing in an entirely new audience.”

DVI’s goal is to collect 1,000 surveys by the end of December 2012. The survey asks respondents the importance and satisfaction of parking, street performers, music, vendors, retail, restaurants, activities for children, and more. The survey also gives respondents the opportunity to share their favorite Art Walk experience and make recommendations for other activities.

The survey can be accessed online at the Downtown Vision blog at http://downtownjacksonville.org/blog/2012/12/14/art-walk-through-the-years/. Blog readers can also a view videos and photos of Art Walk through the years.
