Over the course of eight years, the Jax-based Welcome to Rockville Festival has grown into an internationally acclaimed music experience. In 2018, Rockville broke records, welcoming a sold-out crowd of more than 90,000 over an expanded three-day weekend. And 2019’s iteration is set to be the biggest yet.
Over three days in May, Rockville will treat festival-goers with a heavy dose of ’90s nostalgia, welcoming renowned acts like the Brandon Boyd-fronted, California-alt darlings Incubus, metal icon-turned horror film director Rob Zombie, English electronic group The Prodigy, as well as early aughts Nü Metal stalwarts Korn among many other noteworthy acts.
Perhaps the biggest addition to this year’s lineup is that of the unimpeachably awesome California Prog rockers Tool. Maynard James Keenan and company are set to headline Sunday’s festivities. And if you hope to get in on the action, tickets go on sale on Friday, Dec. 7 at noon.
From The Rockville press release we received this morning:
The ninth annual edition of Florida’s Biggest Rock Experience will take place Friday, May 3, Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida and will feature must-see headlining sets from some of the biggest names in rock including Tool, Korn, Rob Zombie, Incubus, The Prodigy, Shinedown and Judas Priest––making their Rockville debut.
