Seeing old nostalgic photos and videos is always interesting. Taking a glimpse into the past can tell us a lot about a certain area’s history and how far we’ve come. Thanks to KailuaKid on YouTube, now you can watch footage from around Jacksonville and St. Augustine circa 1942. The footage, which was found on old 16mm vacation films at a garage sale in California, was converted to digital copy thanks to The California Pioneers of Santa Clara County.
Start it around the one-minute mark and see North Florida in a whole new light. In part two, St. Augustine is shown right from the start of the film. See more of videos of vintage footage on his YouTube channel.
